Housed in Colombo’s 400-year-old Dutch Hospital, Ministry of Crab is the flagship of Sri Lankan crab cuisine and a regular on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list. Founded by chef Dharshan Munidasa with cricket legends Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara, it serves export-grade lagoon crab that never sees a freezer. Book well ahead and order by crab weight — the kilo-plus “crabzilla” is a rite of passage.
